Paper Development Workshop in Wuhan, China (June 16)

On Friday, June 16, the Journal of Supply Chain Management held a Paper Development Workshop (PDW) for empirical OSCM researchers in the Asia-Pacific region at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in Wuhan, China. Over 150 scholars and 15 panelists participated in the PDW, either online or in person. JSCM was represented by its Co-Editor-in-Chief Tingting Yan. In the morning, two hybrid panel discussions were held, one on How to Make Theoretical Contributions, with experts such as Christina Wong, Dayna Simpson, Hefu Liu, Kevin Dooley, Qinghua Zhu, and Sriram Narayanan, and the other on Writing Tips for Publishing in Top Empirical SCM Journals, with experts such as Chunping Deng, Di Fan, Jing Dai, Lujie Chen, Maggie Dong, Vikram Bhakoo, and Zhaohui Wu. In the afternoon, feedback sessions were held where senior experts provided oral feedback to the study authors. All 24 accepted research projects will also receive detailed written feedback from two senior experts after the PDW. The PDW was a great success in terms of providing not only general guidelines but also project-specific written/oral feedback to junior scholars who want to publish in top empirical SCM journals. JSCM would like to thank all panelists, participants, and the HUST administration and conference organizing team for their contribution to this great event.
